Hotel Courchevel Olympic -

Book with confidence

As days begin to get shorter and evenings cooler we start to turn our thoughts to the winter and the call of the mountains. In these complicated times, with the ongoing threat of Covid 19, we understand that many people may still feel uncertain about travelling and booking holidays abroad.

For your peace of mind, all winter stays booked from 7th September will benefit from free cancellation up until 14 days before departure in the hotel.

Despite the challenges that face us all, we want you to know that at Hotel Courchevel Olympic we are looking forward to the coming season. Resorts may be quieter but we’ve never heard complaints about quiet ski slopes. Self-drive or private transfers, and then self-contained apartments or chalets mean that a personal bubble can be adhered to during the holiday and our accommodation may well suit the style of holiday you are now looking for.

The ski resorts are all preparing for the coming season, current measures include obligatory face masks on lifts and in queues, hand sanitizer at regular points, enhanced cleaning measures in place and encouraging advance lift pass sales (these can be booked via Ski France with a special rate if booked with the holiday accommodation) with the aim to work in a relatively contactless environment. Ski rental shops will also be increasing cleaning and face masks will also be obligatory at all times in the shops.

In our accommodation we guarantee the same level of service that we have always given, whilst also ensuring we follow strict hygiene protocols and of course respect local government and health authority guidelines and regulations. Our teams have been trained on the new protocols to follow and have reinforced the cleaning process with the recommended products to ensure the safety for all. Particular attention is paid to frequent points of contact (door handles, remote controls, light switches…). Accommodation and communal areas are aired regularly. At reception physical distancing and a limited number of entries at one time has been put in place and antibacterial hand gel is readily available.

In the hotel lounges and bars, the seating has been re-thought out to ensure we respect social distancing and currently there is table service only in bars and restaurants, avoiding any crowding at bars. Enhanced cleaning, including arms of chairs, is now in place and hand sanitizer stations are available in numerous places.

The kitchen and restaurant staff have been trained on the new hygiene protocols, and like reception and bar staff, all wear face masks.  The restaurants and service have been re-structured to offer a good and plentiful choice of dishes whilst also adhering to government guidelines and ensure safety for clients and staff. Hand sanitizer is readily available, face masks are to be worn whilst moving around in the restaurant and tables have been re-spaced to ensure that they respect the required distances.

Our establishments have all been open at a certain stage over the summer, welcoming families, groups or the Tour de France to the French Alps. This has allowed us to train our staff and ensure measures are already in place to warmly welcome clients this winter and equally ensure their safety, as well as that of our staff.

We shall of course be constantly updating any procedures to follow French government requirements and it is to be noted that at present wearing face masks is required in all indoor public areas and in a certain number of resort centres, especially where streets are narrow or frequently busy.

We do of course advise all our clients to check the travel guidance given by both the French and their own country’s governments. Our customer service department is here to answer any questions you may have from Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm.

*For accommodation offered that is not run by Madame Vacances the cancellation conditions are indicated on the description of the destination and are as per our T+Cs.
